MacGillivray's coffee shop serves home-baking, home-made soups, snacks, salads and friendly banter! - or even useful tourist information ...... we know you will enjoy our no-smoking atmosphere and you will have plenty of time to browse the gifts and to select a Scottish-made souvenir for your friends and family. In the last few weeks, we have had some attention from the press - firstly when one of our customers told the local newspaper, the Helensburgh Advertiser, that we had sent some home-made empire biscuits to London for a photoshoot for She magazine. That story was picked up by the Lennox Herald and also by the Scottish Daily Express.Subsequently, Sandy was interviewed for his views about the disruption to the town caused by last year's works by Scottish Water. In addition, the Helensburgh Advertiser also asked our views on the traditional seaside postcard and its relevance in an era when many people send ecards. We replied that because our previous postcard supplier had ceased trading, we were producing a card ourselves as there is still a demand for such items - although the cost of postage is very expensive. |
