Sterling Silver Thistle Ring for Men - manufactured in Scotland, carrying the Edinburgh hallmark to assure you of the quality of the silver.  Please state your ring size when ordering - and allow a few extra days for us to manufacture the ring specially for you.

Legend has it that the thorny thistles helped protect Scotland during raids by the Vikings.  Vikings decided to attack at night and raid Scottish villages; when they encountered the sharp thistles thorns theycried out in pain, thus alerting the villagers to the attack and allowing them to fight back and drive back the invaders.

Following this the Thistle was adopted as the floral emblem of Scotland.
