We recently received a lovely comment from a customer -

Just wanted to thank you for the simply lovely broach I purchased recently which arrived safely, I was extremely  pleased, it is beautifully  crafted.
I thought you might be interested to know that although you call it after the Roman horse Goddess, it is an exact copy of a design taken from the north portal of a church in Norway.
The church is in Urnes, and is the oldest stave church in Norway which dates from about 1060, some say the creature is thought to be a cross between a deer and a dog, but it certainly looks more like a horse to me. If you look on the internet the church is easy to find, and there are several pictures of the north portal with the broach design.

I used to own an identical brooch bought by my husband many years ago, but to my dismay it was stolen. I was heart broken as it was such a favourite, I have been searching ever since for a replacement, it was by chance I came across your company’s broach as it was marketed under another name.
Your broach is far better quality than the one I used to have, so thank you once again.
Many thanks to Mrs JB - we love hearing stories like this.
